The Marketplace is a destination. Not a directory. Users do not "discover" merchants here. They simply choose from goods already curated for the LUMY ecosystem.

Instant LUMY Payment, No Conversion

Without cards or bank accounts, the LUMY you hold itself acts as currency. A portion of the payment fee is automatically and permanently burned, contributing to a decrease in circulating supply. For the concrete mechanism, see §10.3 Burn Mechanism.

The differentiator of Lumy Marketplace is not only "you can pay with LUMY."

Lumy AI handles curation, payment, and post-purchase organization in one flow.

Users do not have to look at a curation site separately, open a payment app, and organize receipts with a budget app. Lumy AI pulls items matching the user's usage patterns, factors in their own holdings and scheduled spending to suggest an appropriate price range, and, after explicit confirmation, handles purchase and organization all in one screen.

What a Marketplace Purchase Sets in Motion

When a Marketplace purchase settles, a portion of the transaction returns to the ecosystem as a booster that accelerates the mining speed of your own node. The booster mechanism is as described in §10.4 Activity Flows and Boosters.

Every time a Marketplace purchase happens, the time to fill your cap shortens. The cap itself does not change.
